The Benin-based act releases his debut body of work, a two-part tape, “DRILL VIBEZ“

Growing up in native parts of Benin city but having a fair share of time spent in the adventurous city of London, N£RO offers a perfect embodiment of both worlds– In lifestyle and in art.
His debut tape offers an insight into what music sounds like from someone who understands how Afrobeats work and, in the same way, possesses knowledge about the UK Drill music scene.
Speaking with the act himself, the bridging gap between the commercial success entertained by the Hip-Hop and Pop culture is something he does not agree with and has driven him on his music journey. He had this to say:
I wanna make Drill music grow in Nigeria. I feel we have the fanbase and streaming prowess to do so. Cos’ I hate the notion of rap doesn’t sell in Nigeria
N£RO
He plays his part in making that dream a reality by releasing his 2-track pack, “Drill Vibez“. Consisting of the songs, ‘Movin’ Mad‘– A drill song, and a soul-themed afrobeat tune, ‘Good Vibez‘.
Movin’ Mad is a proper drill tune. Produced by London-based producer, Hargo, the mid-tempo drill song is perfectly produced with N£RO flowing like a veteran. Good Vibez is a title for a song that makes you feel the exact way it’s title suggests. The Zion-produced track has got a smooth sultry feeling to it with background sax giving Alte hints. N£RO delivers one of the best hooks of the year so far.
N£RO has come in clutch with these two tracks and perfect timing too. Having this type of quality at the very start is commendable and rare to see. It’s from here on up for the super-talented act.
