Afro-fusion artist, Molazzi, popularly known for his amazing musical covers across the years, shared his somewhat debut body of work in form of an Extended Play, “Two Sides of Love“.
After a series of amazing covers of hit songs, including Burna Boy’s “Gbona” and Wizkid’s “Manya“, Molazzi finally debuted fully on the music scene in early 2019, bided his time. Two years later– he releases his debut tape at the perfect season and time, the love season.
Released with just one mission in mind; to be a love anthem this valentine season and it seems to be working just perfectly. With songs off the project performing well on the charts in just less than 24 hours of release, Molazzi really hit this one on the head.
The EP opens with an intro track, Tete-A-Tete, that depicts a phone dialogue between Molazzi and his significant other with Fool for you being played faintly in the distant background, it ends with her agreeing to come chill with him and the remainder of the EP just unfolds around this intro. True Love is the lead hit song off the EP, charting in the Top 50 songs on the NG Apple Music Songs chart. Undeniably the best song off the tape, Molazzi taps amazing singer, Kae, as they both harmonize beautifully well on the love tune. “Fool for You” was playing in the background of the tape’s intro. It talks about Molazzi falling foolishly for a cheating partner and being unable to let go despite being fully aware. With the final two tracks, Molazzi indeed shows Two Sides of Love.

This is as solid as debut projects go. The tracks arrangement is amazing, the production is amazing, the vocals match the mood and theme of the season. An amazing tape you should listen to.
