Twice as Tall needed to be out for just 48 hours to make history across various platforms. While the Award ceremonies are still a while away, the African Giant is already rewriting history when it comes to the weight of impact coherent with the release of his fifth studio album “Twice as Tall“.

Burna brought the full arsenal on this one. “Twice As Tall” featured standout international acts including Sauti Sol, Naughty by Nature, Chris Martin, Stormzy, Youssou N’Dour while being the first African project to be executively produced by P. Diddy (Sean Combs).

#1 Album in 32 countries

Burna Boy’s “Twice as Tall” becomes the first African project in history to peak at #1 in over 30 countries. In less than 48 hours, it is now #1 in 32 countries.

8 tracks on Worldwide Apple Music Songs chart

A whopping 8 tracks off Twice as Tall charted on the Global Apple Music Songs chart. With more tracks expected to hit the chart, this is already the most amount of songs off an African project to appear on the chart. The tracks include Level Up, Way Too Big, Bebo, Alarm Clock, Onyeka(Baby), Wonderful, Monsters You Made and Real Life.

On-Demand Streams

African Giant” became just the second Afrobeats album of all-time to hit the 1 BILLION streams mark (First being Davido’s “A Good Time“). Twice as Tall is set to surpass that mark and faster too, after accumulating over 30 MILLION on-demand streams across all musical platforms in just less than 48 hours.

This makes it one of the fastest selling Nigerian album of all time.

iTunes and Apple Music

When it comes to iTunes and Apple Music, Twice as Tall reached a couple of Milestones.

The first being the first Nigerian album to peak at #1 on France’s iTunes and Apple Music simultaneously.

Twice as Tall is also the #1 Album in the UK, making it the first Nigerian project of all-time to debut at #1 in the UK.

Twice at Tall” has reached an all new peak at #7 on the Worldwide Apple Music Albums Chart. This is the highest an African project has ever reached on the chart.

This super-blast of an album has also entered the Top 10 of the US Apple albums chart. This makes it the highest ever charting Nigerian album of all time on US Apple Music.

With Burna Boy’s “Twice as Tall“, It is almost as though a new milestone is being achieved with every passing minute. Achieving these milestones in such short time might seem huge now, but it is all-certain that there’s more to come — Expect a records list twice as long as the one you’ve just read.
