Afro-Fusion star, Fireboy DML took the Afrobeats world by storm with his amazing debut album, “Laughter, Tears and Goosebumps“. Fast-forward to 9 months after, Fireboy is ready to hit us with another wave of Afro-fusion bliss with his second studio album “Apollo“.

“Laughter, Tears and Goosebumps” is arguably one of the best debut albums in Nigeria in recent history. A huge success that has seen it acquire over 300 MILLION streams across all musical platforms attracted comparisons to Wizkid’s debut “Superstar“.
The YBNL prodigy was already back in the studio days after the release of his debut studio album and this was why. Just 9 months after, Fireboy announced via his official social media handles that his sophomore album will be titled “Apollo” and will be due for release on Thursday, 20th of August. The same day legendary fuji artist “K1 De Ultimate” marks his return to the music scene with an EP, “Fuji the Sound.”

Inspiration for the album title stemmed from a god in Greek mythology named “Apollo”, He is the god of healing, poetry and Music – Do you observe the similarities?
Fireboy, the artist himself was awed with the sucess of his debut project as he announced Apollo with a video conveying these words:
