From singing weekly in a local church from the rugged streets of Lagos at the tender age of 8, Anthony “Kid Alpha” Ononiwu knew Music was his destiny and the church choir was just a starting step. With his long time passion for music and it’s instruments including the keyboard and bass guitar, it was only a matter of time before Kid Alpha began his official musical career – that time is now.

The 19-year old moved to the UK at the age of 11, but has showed no signs of neglecting his roots as he has stuck solely to Afrobeats and making it a stronghold even in the UK. With his handsome boyish looks and the vocals that deliver smooth melodies comparable to Joeboy and Mayorkun.

Kid Alpha makes his first foot mark in the music industry as he debuts his first single titled “Price Tag“. The high tempo Afro-fusion tune sees through a special woman that is trying way too hard to look perfect for her birthday but Kid Alpha reassures Maria that she didn’t that to win his heart over.

The Omeiza-produced tune contains grooves that reeks of incredible replay value that has seen it garner around over 20,000 combined streams across musical platforms – including BBC 1xtra, Westside Radio and Capital In just one week.

This might be just the start, but Kid Alpha has made an echoing introduction to what he is about and what he is bringing to the Music industry. Buzzing to see what next Kid Alpha has in store for the world.
